I know what you are thinking, “What kind of a Delaware Photographer makes a blog post about Christmas pajama sessions towards the end of January? Christmas is long gone!” The kind of photographer that does this is the kind that was miserably sick during Christmas break, when she meant to post some of these adorable images!
I can’t remember the last time I was so sick I couldn’t get out of bed! On one hand, it was terrible timing to be ill, as I was planning on spending a lot of quality time with my family. On the other hand, it was perfect timing, because my husband was home all week and took care of the kids so I could rest.
Since then, I have been busy making plans for the year and trying to define my goals, both in my photography business and my personal life. My business/life goals this year may be different, but one word can sum up my intentions for both: AUTHENTIC. This coming year, I want my photography to emulate more authenticity than ever. I hope to capture true emotions and the deep relationships that define us as who we are individually and as families.
In my personal life, I believe living authentically means being true to who you are and what is most important to you, and letting go of anything that doesn’t fit within that definition. Mostly, this means I am going to work on being present with my family and being intentional. Usually, we don’t make a lot of plans. Sometimes we have vague ideas of something we would like to do, and then when a day shows up that it seems like it will work out, we jump on the opportunity! This year, however, I want to make plans in advance! There is much more I would like to share about goals and plans for the new year, but I will save it for another post and continue on now to the point of this post: to share 2016 Christmas Jammie pictures!
