I am. I’m dying. I am dying a long, slow, cold, death. I’m ready to get back outside in the warm, Delaware sun! I’m ready play at the park with my children, go exploring, and do what I love to do as a portrait photographer! The golden summer sun near the end of the day is what dreams are made of!
Yesterday, I posted about my quest to find the best hot chocolate. Hot chocolate is great. I love it. I love drinking it in chilly weather, or when coming back in from shoveling snow. However, I don’t like the cold! This winter hasn’t been too bad here in Delaware, but I’m ready for warmer weather. I feel like mother nature teased us a few weeks ago when we had some really nice, warm days. Now that the cold is back, I’m annoyed and want to fast forward a few weeks to more pleasant weather!
Today, I am trying to not think about the freezing cold soccer games we have this Saturday for our three oldest children. I am reminiscing on days of yore (aka: last summer) when the fields were full of wildflowers and the sun kissed our cheeks.
I’m thinking about a little girls in summer dresses, concentrating on keeping her crown on.
Dreaming of little boys playing in the dirt, not minding that the sun is setting and darkness will fall soon.
Today, I will dream of long days of swimming, followed by evenings of catching fireflies.
Is anyone else longing for summer sunsets and warmer weather? Seriously can’t wait! I can’t wait for more pleasant weather to photograph in! While I wait, I suppose I will just have to continue testing all of my hot chocolates! I mean, what else is a freezing girl supposed to do? Eh?
In the meantime, while we wait for spring and summer to arrive, if anyone is thinking about updating your family portraits, let’s get in touch and start planning a session! I am currently booking May- September. With some sessions already scheduled and lot of other business and family commitments, my availability will be limited in the next few months. Scheduling early will ensure that you have your spot!
Stay warm, my friends. Stay warm.
Oh my goodness. This field is to die for!! I LOVE IT! I wish there was somewhere like this in GA where I live!
I just love your post. All the flowers! Just beautiful! <3
Beautiful photos!
