Imagine driving up to your house. Greeting you, is smoke and flames coming from it. Most of us can only imagine the horror and devastation we would feel. For my good friend Brittany, however, she knows exactly how it feels to lose her home. Thankfully, her husband and children were with her in the car, and their farm animals were safe. Their home, though, suffered enough damage that they lost most of their possessions and the house was deemed uninhabitable.

As a Delaware family photographer, I know how much photographs mean to individuals. Photographs are precious memories that provide us a gate to the past. I always feel a deep sense of loss for families who lose their pictures in a fire, and hope that some of their most cherished images are replaceable.

Prior to the fire, Brittany and I were discussing a photo session, but still needed to confirm a date. Unfortunately, the fire claimed most of their printed images. The next few months were chaotic and full of uncertainties for Brittany and her family. Amongst their biggest concern, was finding a new place to live before their third child was due to be born. Eventually, they were able to purchase a beautiful property! I had the privilege of  visiting them at their new home and created  their family photos just weeks before their baby was born. It was such a beautiful sunset session! The weather was perfect and we captured some truly precious moments!

As small of a role as mine was, I am grateful that I am a Delaware Family Photographer and was able to help provide this family with new portraits as they work to rebuild their lives. I know that they will be able to cherish these images for generations to come.

As a courtesy to all of my clients, in the event of a tragedy, such as a house fire, I am happy to replace your purchased images at no additional cost to you. Please contact me, should you ever experience such an unfortunate event.
