Whoopie Pies Were Made For Life’s Whoopsie Moments

Whenever I do something and think “whoops!” I always think of Whoopie Pies. Anyone else think that? No? Just me? Usually is! I’m okay with that! Since this is the way my mind works, naturally, when there is a pretty big “whoops” I should eat one… or lots of them… right?

Lately, I have whoopie pies have been on my mind. In Middletown, DE there is this market called The Dutch Country Farmer’s Market. They seriously have hands-down, the BEST doughnuts. And whoopie pies. I have been really wanting to make my own whoopie pies, but have not been able to find the time to do so. So last weekend, I finally went to the farmer’s market and bought a pack. So delicious!

Is it a Whoopsie, or A Whoopie? Make it BOTH!

So many times in my almost 13 years of marriage, my husband and I have made mistakes. Sometimes big ones. Usually, in the moment, these mistakes feel very daunting, discouraging, and sometimes depressing. It isn’t until later, when the sting of the moment has passed, that we have been able to look back and think “Whoops!” and move on. That moment of declaration comes at different times, depending on the circumstance. Some of our mistakes I feel took several years before I was able to shrug it off, but no matter the trial, we eventually always get to the point of acceptance and not feel the weight of our mistake anymore.

Recently, we experienced a “Whoops!” moment. Whoopie pies were definitely in order! It took me some time, but I have come to terms with the situation and no longer feel overwhelmed. I decided to involve the whole family and made a little video. Hope you all enjoy it!

While this was definitely a “whoops,” it most definitely is NOT a mistake. We are excited for the good things to come!
